Brain Tank CEO, Ismail Šehić, held a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Vogošća, Mr. Migdad Hasanović, to explore opportunities for the municipality’s involvement in EU funding and international cooperation programmes. The meeting focused on strengthening local capacities and identifying practical pathways for more active participation in European initiatives.
Through an open and constructive discussion, participants addressed the needs of the local community and explored project development opportunities that could support the long-term growth of the Municipality of Vogošća.
One of the key topics discussed was the difference between passive and active participation in EU programmes. Active participation includes initiating and leading projects, building international partnerships, and strategically planning local development through European funding opportunities.
Passive participation, on the other hand, allows institutions to join projects as partners, engage in knowledge exchange, and gradually strengthen their capacities for future initiatives.
Special attention was given to programmes implemented by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), covering areas such as education, youth, culture, sport, and civic engagement.
Programmes like Erasmus+ offer valuable opportunities for innovative project development, international cooperation, and institutional capacity building. Participation in these initiatives can contribute to the modernization of local policies and the improvement of public services.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continued cooperation and the identification of concrete project ideas that the Municipality of Vogošća could develop in partnership with relevant organisations and institutions.
Brain Tank presented opportunities for professional support in project development, partnership building, and the preparation of EU funding applications, aiming to strengthen local capacities and support sustainable community development.
